The Ballarat Primary Care Clinic (BPC) is an afterhours Allied Health Clinic which aims to make it easier for people to access a range of services

Chronic Disease

When a person develops a chronic illness such as diabetes, asthma, arthritis or a heart condition, their lives are sometimes turned upside down and it becomes difficult to take on new behaviours or strategies to assist managing their health.

Community

Ballarat Community Health supports community programs by developing and strengthening networks and partnerships to work towards a common goal.  

Community Arts & Wellbeing

The Community Arts and Wellbeing Program offers services to community organisations and schools, with a focus on creative activities to improve health and wellbeing.

Counselling

Quality and affordable counselling for individuals and families dealing with a  range of issues in their lives. Counselling is delivered by qualified and professional counsellors

Diabetes Education

Diabetes education is about assisting people with diabetes, their families and carers to gain the knowledge, skills, motivation and confidence to manage their condition.

Disablility

Ballarat Community Health is a registered provider of the NDIS.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme supports people with disability to achieve their individual goals and to participate in the community and employment.

Doctors Clinics

NOW TAKING NEW PATIENTS    

All four Doctor's Clinics provide a full range of general practice medical services.  Our General Practitioners and Practice Nurses are committed to improving medical care for patients in regional and rural communities in Ballarat and the surrounding district.

Exercise & Fitness

Ballarat Community Health offers a range of supported and well established physical activity programs.  We have two well-equipped gymnasiums at Sebastopol and Lucas, with physical activity programs also available at our Wendouree site and at Smythesdale.

Gymnasium

The gymnasium at Lucas offers an opportunity for people to purchase a gym mebership or pay per session.  This membership gives people access to the gym programs after hours and was introduced for people who cannot access the gym or group programs during business/working hours (workers, mothers of young children, etc).

Health Promotion

The Health Promotion Team at Ballarat Community Health conducts programs to raise awareness and provide information and support on healthy lifestyle choices to the community.

Healthy Eating / Dietetics

The dietitians at Ballarat Community Health work within a multidisciplinary team to help people to understand the relationship between food and health.

Hepatitis Education

Ballarat Community Health offers a range of services for people living with Hepatitis C and people at risk of Hepatitis C.

Meeting & Conference Facilities

Ballarat Community Health's conference and meeting room facilities at our Lucas centre offer state of-the-art rooms,  featuring a sophisticated and integrated audio visual system with wireless internet access

Mental Health

The recovery journey for someone with severe and persistent mental illness can be long and difficult.

Grampians Partners in Recovery is improving access to services needed for individuals, carers and their families.

Pathology

Pathology Patient Collection Centres are conveniently located at BCH sites in Lucas, Wendouree and Sebastopol.

Pharmacotherapy Network

Orticare is  working to create better access to pharmacotherapy services for all clients living in this region.

Physical Activity

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy services operate at Sebastopol and Lucas with a service to Smythesdale. Along with general outpatient treatment, there are several new and continuing programs available.

Podiatry

Ballarat Community Health's Podiatrists are located at the Lucas, Cooinda (Wendouree), Sebastopol and Smythesdale sites. We provide professional & affordable foot care for all ages, with service prioritised to individuals on a healthcare card or pension.

Quit Smoking

Our Smoke Free Clinic provides advice and ongoing support for individuals as they work towards their goal of being 'smoke free'.

Ballarat Community Health provides a range of refugee and settlement services

Schools

Ballarat Community Health offers a range of programs and support for schools.  The programs offer a flexible approach to the delivery of health information to students from Kindergarten through to Secondary School. 

Sexual Health Clinic

Our team of qualified health professionals pride themselves in a non judgmental, welcoming clinic providing services to men and women of all ages.

Student Placement

Work placement at Ballarat Community Health enables a student to work in a unique team environment, where a true multi-disciplinary approach is applied.  Our programs and services support clients of all age groups and needs.

The Ballarat Health Companion Project is a transport assistance program for people travelling to Ballarat for a health appointment. 

Workplace Health

 Ballarat Community Health (BCH) has a range of highly skilled health professionals available to deliver education sessions, programs and information at your workplace to enable you to maximize the health and wellbeing of your staff.

Youth

Youth services, programs or activities are especially for young people up to the age of 25 years. During this time young people go through a number of develop-mental stages on the journey from childhood to being an adult.
